Method

  1. Add the sliced apples, pear and orange to a large pitcher with the cinnamon sticks.

  2. Pour in the white wine, apple cider and brandy and stir well.

  3. Muddle the fruit lightly with a wooden spoon to release some juice, then let it sit for a few minutes while you set out the glasses.

  4. Top with the ginger ale, stir gently and pour over ice, spooning some fruit into each glass.

Tips

  • Everything goes in cold so it is ready to drink straight away; it also gets fruitier if made a few hours ahead (add the ginger ale last).
  • For an alcohol-free pitcher, use extra cider and sparkling water instead of wine and brandy.
  • Rim the glasses with cinnamon sugar for a party touch.
