Method

  1. Heat the oven to 425°F first thing, with a rack in the middle, and line a baking sheet with parchment paper. Do the rolling while it heats.

  2. Unroll the dough and separate it into 8 triangles. Cut each triangle lengthwise into 3 long, thin triangles, so you have 24.

  3. Put a frank on the wide end of each strip and roll it up toward the point. Set them seam side down on the sheet, about 1 inch apart, and sprinkle with everything seasoning if using.

  4. As soon as the oven is hot, bake until the dough is puffed and deep golden, including underneath, and the franks are sizzling.

  5. While they bake, stir the mustard and honey together. Let the pigs cool for a minute on the sheet, then serve warm with the honey mustard.

Tips

  • Timing depends on your oven reaching 425°F in about 8 minutes. If yours is slower, start it before you get anything else out, or add the extra minutes honestly to your plan.
  • Cocktail franks are already cooked, so you're just heating them through and browning the dough. Pull them when the bottoms are golden, not pale.
  • Got cheese? Tuck a thin strip of cheddar on each piece of dough before rolling.
