The recipe in 15 seconds

Method

  1. Trim the stem ends of the Brussels sprouts and cut them in half through the stem. Toss with the olive oil, garlic powder, salt and pepper until every cut side is coated.

  2. Spread the sprouts in the basket in a single layer, cut side down where you can, without crowding.

  3. Air fry at 380°F for 12 to 15 minutes, shaking the basket every 5 minutes, until the outer leaves are deep brown and crisp and a knife slides easily into the centers.

  4. Tip into a bowl, drizzle with the maple syrup and toss. Serve hot.

Tips

  • Air fryers vary: oven-style models and smaller baskets may need 2 to 3 minutes more. Check early the first time.
  • Swap the maple syrup for a splash of balsamic vinegar, or finish with grated parmesan if you eat dairy.
  • Reheat leftovers in the air fryer at 375°F for 3 to 4 minutes to bring back the crunch.
