Method
Make sure the florets are completely dry, then toss with the oil, garlic powder, salt, pepper and pepper flakes.
Air fry at 375°F in a single layer without crowding, 8 to 10 minutes, shaking the basket halfway. They are done when the floret tips are browned and crispy and the stems are just tender.
Tip into a bowl, squeeze over a lemon wedge, then toss with the lemon zest and parmesan. Serve with the remaining wedges.
Tips
- Air fryers vary: oven-style models and smaller baskets may need 2 to 3 minutes more. Check early the first time.
- Wet broccoli steams, so dry it well after washing. Frozen florets work: cook from frozen at 400°F for 12 to 14 minutes.
- Skip the parmesan for a vegan side, or swap it for toasted sliced almonds. Reheat at 375°F for 2 to 3 minutes.
