The recipe in 15 seconds

Method

  1. Place the cold eggs in the basket in a single layer so they are not stacked.

  2. Air fry at 270°F for 15 to 17 minutes: 15 gives a just-set yolk and 17 gives a fully firm, pale yellow yolk.

  3. Meanwhile, fill a bowl with ice and cold water. Use tongs to move the eggs straight into it and cool in the ice bath for 2 minutes.

  4. Tap each egg all over on the counter and peel under running water. Season with salt and pepper to serve.

Tips

  • Air fryers vary: some run hot and may brown the shells or cook the yolks faster. Check one egg at 15 minutes the first time and adjust.
  • Keep unpeeled eggs in the fridge for up to a week for quick breakfasts and snacks.
  • Slice over avocado toast, chop into egg salad or halve for deviled eggs.
